The Jack bar is extremely smooth and will want to rotate when the motor runs, the locking screws designed to prevent this rotation aren’t really big enough to tighten enough by hand. The torque created by the motor is too much for them to hold the Jack bar in place. The motor itself is just fine, unfortunately the mount needs a work around. Close but not close enough.

Even before watching this - the ONLY difference between spin and Blackfish " centrepin" is that line management is way easier with centerpin.....otherwise ZERO difference.... ( well spin has better drag than the Alvey or similar centrepin systems )....

All.the videos show how to install.the top playe to the trolling motor which is the easy part. Attaching the bottom plate is more challenging.

Put a zip tie on the end that does not have the clip. They can still get out if there is no bait in the trap. You can also use a zip tie to keep the bait in place. I use a can of Sardines in oil with hole punched in it wired to the bottom and then loose Chicken or fish. This keeps them there longer, but if left long enough the trap will be empty. I learned this the hard way. I threw the trap in and watched it aMost fill up. Like a dummy, I got greedy, when I came back in an hour, all were gone except four. Good buy for the money!

This is the best trolling motor I have ever owned. Very powerful and the salt water does not have any affect on it. The reverse is just as powerful. This motor performs just as well as the high dollar motors.

This pole is one of our new catfish poles. It stood up quite well today. It casts great. It reels smoothly. The pole is easily collapsible. friend ended up catching only one fish because we didn't have too long to fish, and he reeled it in easily. Good buy. Hubby is happy so I am happy! Looking forward to warmer temps so we can spend more time playing with it!

Very nice. This will hold you in position with gps? It seems to me like it would keep the bow into the swell, is that correct? I have a 24’ sea swirl Striper and when I’m fishing in the ocean I always end up sideways to the swell and rolling which makes me 🤮.
